HOW WE CAN HELP WITH YOUR STORY

COLAGE is happy to work with the media on stories about children, youth or adults with LGBT parents. We can:

• Provide resource sheets, fact lists and press kits from COLAGE.
• Connect you to members of our Speak Out Program - youth and adults from all over the country who are trained and willing to speak with members of the media about their experiences, lives and families. Send us a request for interviewees via phone or email so that we can identify the best Speak Out participants to fit your media needs.
• Send bibliographies for popular and academic sources; check the students and resources section for book lists, too.
• Send past copies of our publications; Just For Us is a great source to of first-hand writing by children, youth and adults with LGBT parents
• Offer expert, opinionated interviews with our staff
• Offer references to other expert organizations
• If you are looking primarily for LGBT parents or your story will be addressing a different LGBT issue, you should contact an organization that specifically works with parents and adults- our Speak Out Program program is to promote the voices of folks who have LGBT parents themselves.
