Youth Leadership and Action Program

Do you live in the San Francisco Bay Area? Are you between the ages of 13 and 18? Do you have one or more lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and/or queer parent? Do you want to make a difference? Then YLAP is for you!

Be a part of the COLAGE Youth Leadership and Action Program (YLAP) - a group for youth with lesbian, gay, bisexual, and/or transgender parents ages 13-18. The program offers participants a chance to gain skills and experience in activism, media, public speaking, program development, and more while being able to connect with others with similar experiences.

Amplify your voice with YLAP! Beginning January 2010, we will meet twice per month and create podcasts. Participants will learn about audio recording and production from partners at BAYCAT. We will create a PSA about LGBT families being counted in the US Census 2010. Then, participants will each record a radio piece.
