Just For Us was COLAGE’s publication from 1990 to 2009. At the time, it was the only publication written by, for, and about people with one or more LGBTQ parents. Not only was JFU distributed to COLAGE’s membership but also to schools, counselors, organizations, libraries, and other allies who wanted to learn about the issues impacting the lives of COLAGErs. JFU had several long-time regular contributors such as Dan Cherubin’s Second Gen column, Dateline Dan and Spawn Talk by Abigail Garner. In its later years, JFU featured a theme for each issue such as activism, schools, marriage equality, or adoption. This archive also includes a few copies of publications titled “COLAGE Notes” and “COLAGE Kid’s Club Fun Pages”. Most of these newsletters can be found in the COLAGE records at the GLBT Historical Society in San Francisco, CA. You can read more about the COLAGE collection here.
