Queerspawn Writer’s Workshop with Heather Bryant

Do you have one or more LGBTQ+ parent/caregiver? Do you like to write? Come join our first Queerspawn Writer’s Workshop in a four-part series with queerspawn author, Heather Bryant. This workshop is open to queerspawn who write as a hobby, who are professional writers and anything in-between.

Heather Bryant is a writer based in Sunnyside, NY, and the author of My Trans Parent. Her short fiction and essays have appeared in The Massachusetts Review, The Southeast Review, and anthologies including Trans-Kin: A Guide for Family and Friends of Transgender People. My Trans Parent developed out of her work as an ambassador for the People with Transgender Parents (PTP) community with COLAGE. She was an Emerging Writer in Residence at Randolph College and has taught writing at Pace University and in workshops in New York City.

We need more stories about our families! In this safe space, we’ll explore and celebrate queerspawn authors who have broken silences to share their truths as a source of inspiration for your own stories. Come ready to play and have fun with storytelling and truth telling, to question our versions of the truth, and to meet other fabulous queerspawn who care about stories, too.
