Welcoming all COLAGErs into our community with care and intention.
Do you have LGBTQ+ parents? Welcome to the COLAGE community! We are so excited to get to know you! In the COLAGE Connect program, you will get to meet people who share similar experiences with you – the first being one of our community members who will help guide you through our organization!
To get started, fill out this form that walks you through the steps below!
Step One
Select the identities that are applicable to you and tell us a little bit about what you are looking for by connecting with us!
Step Two
Someone who shares the identities you selected will reach out to you within 1-2 weeks to schedule a 1:1 conversation where you will both get to know each other better. You can also use this space to discuss whatever you write on the form and anything queerspawn-related that is on your mind!
Step Three
Your facilitator will help get you connected to the community in the capacity that you want! For example, you can opt-in to more 1:1 conversations, you can join us as a volunteer, you can organize a casual meet-up in your area, or you can join a support group.
All-COLAGEr Virtual Meet Up
This space is for youth 8 and older, adult COLAGErs, newcomers, and seasoned COLAGE veterans alike! The only requirement is that you have one or more LGBTQ+ parent/caregiver. This is a space to make friends, build community, ask questions, play games, and chat. Break out rooms for age groups of affinity groups can be made depending on who shows up each month!
This meet up happens every third Sunday of the month from 5-6pm ET.

Affinity Groups
Right now, COLAGE has five active affinity groups: People with Trans Parents, BIPOC COLAGErs, Jewish COLAGErs, Retro COLAGErs, and Adult COLAGErs. Please read the description below to see if these are the right fit for you! Other groups such as Adopted COLAGErs, My Parent Came Out, COLAGErs Born Through Assisted Reproduction, COLAGErs with Disabilities, and Second Generation COLAGErs primarily engage via COLAGE Connect and Discord. If you identify as any of the categories listed, and want to connect with others who share similar experiences, please fill out the COLAGE Connect form above. If you generally want to connect with other queerspawn, attend our All-COLAGErs Virtual Meet Up or join our Discord above! For those age 8 to 13, please watch the Parent FAQ with your parent below to access our Discord.
People with Trans Parents
Do you have one or more trans or nonbinary parent or caregiver? People with trans parents are the fastest growing group of COLAGErs – you are not alone! If you are 8 years old or older, join our facilitators, Maria, Olivia, and Annastasia bi-monthly to talk about what it’s like to be a person with a trans parent. Typically, we have break out groups for youth and adults. Visit our Event Calendar to find out when the next PTP Chat is happening!

BIPOC COLAGErs
Are you BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and/or a Person of Color) and one or more LGBTQ+ parent/caregiver? Join our network of BIPOC COLAGErs. Youth 8 and older and adult COLAGErs are welcome to this space. Our seasoned queerspawn facilitators can’t wait to welcome you to this group! Jewish COLAGErs
Do you have one or more LGBTQ+ parent/caregiver? Do you identify as Jewish or does at least one of your parents identify as Jewish? If so, join our network of Jewish COLAGErs. This space is for Jewish COLAGErs who are 16 or older, if you are younger than 16 and have interest in joining, please email info@colage.org. We will discuss the challenges and joys of being a COLAGEr and being Jewish and all of it’s intersections. Our goal is to build connections and talk about this current world moment. Adult COLAGErs
This space is for anyone 18 and up who has one or more LGBTQ+ parent/caregiver. Come hang with our National Program Director, Angel, and chat about what it’s like to be an adult COLAGEr! Retro COLAGErs
This space is for anyone who has one or more LGBTQ+ parent/caregiver and was born pre-1980. Join our facilitators, Lisa, Cheryl, and Julie to talk about issues specific to Retro COLAGErs and to build community with each other!
