Queerspawn Writer’s Workshop with Isabel Galupo

Do you have one or more LGBTQ+ parent/caregiver? Do you like to write? Come join our last Queerspawn Writer’s Workshop in a four-part series with queerspawn author, Isabel Galupo. This workshop is open to queerspawn who write as a hobby, who are professional writers and anything in-between.

Isabel Galupo is an Emmy-nominated screenwriter and author. She’s written for more than a dozen TV shows on Netflix, PBS, Apple TV+, Nickelodeon and Warner Bros. and has participated in the Lambda Literary Writer’s Retreat for Emerging LGBT Voices. Isabel lives in Los Angeles with her husband.

In this workshop, Isabel will share tips and tricks for writing entertaining, socially-conscious kid’s stories based on her experience as a published picture book author and prolific children’s television writer. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about navigating the TV and publishing industries, mining personal experience for creative inspiration, and writing queer-inclusive stories, in addition to completing guided writing prompts designed to help them access their inner child’s voice, dreams, and desires.
